The eight-episode series The Drop: A Snowfall Saga will debut on FX on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 9/8c. It will also stream weekly on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ internationally.
The spin-off continues the story of Snowfall characters Wanda Bell and Leon Simmons. They navigate the rise of West Coast rap in 1990s Los Angeles amid the aftermath of the crack epidemic.
Wanda seeks to assemble a group to reshape American culture through music. She works with family members and a local rapper while managing tensions with Leon, who focuses on his legal clinic.
Additional cast members include Mykelti Williamson, Nicki Micheaux, and others. Executive producers are Malcolm Spellman, Dave Andron, Thomas Schlamme, and several more. The project was first announced in November 2025.
