Suno has rolled out integration for its generative AI music tool in the iMessage app on iPhone. Users with the latest version can create 30-second audio clips from text or voice prompts sent in chats.
The feature appears when tapping the plus button in a chat and selecting Suno. Users can paste a message from a friend as a prompt and choose a genre for the output.
Recipients must have the Suno app installed to listen to the generated audio. The company noted this requirement in its announcement of the update.
Background reports indicate Suno trained its AI on millions of songs from sites including YouTube Music and Deezer. Critics have described the training as staggering theft of copyrighted material.
