Tre Kronor has named 20 players for Friday's IIHF World Championship opener against Canada in Fribourg. Two goalies, six defensemen and twelve forwards are registered, leaving room for adjustments. Viggo Björck, 18, is set to become the youngest Swedish player ever in the tournament.
Tre Kronor coach Sam Hallam has selected Magnus Hellberg and Arvid Söderblom as the two goalies for the match against Canada. Six defensemen including Mattias Ekholm, Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Joel Persson are also confirmed for the roster. Twelve forwards complete the group of 20 players registered so far.
