Sweetwater Country Club joins TPC Network as TPC Houston

The PGA TOUR's TPC Network has added Sweetwater Country Club as its 31st property, renaming it TPC Houston. This marks the fourth TPC facility in Texas. The club will host a PGA TOUR Americas event later this month.

The PGA TOUR's TPC Network announced on Monday that Sweetwater Country Club in Houston has joined as a licensed property and will be renamed TPC Houston. This addition brings the network to 31 facilities overall and establishes it as the fourth TPC site in Texas, alongside TPC San Antonio, TPC Craig Ranch, and TPC Las Colinas.

Ownership and operations of TPC Houston remain with affiliates of Sculptor Real Estate and Juniper Golf Properties, while Encore Leisure Group continues management. The club, located on the outskirts of Houston, features a 36-hole layout with the Pecan and Cypress Courses, designed by Roger Packard and opened in 1982. Originally planned as a home for the Ladies Professional Golf Association, it hosted the LPGA Hall of Fame Golf Classic shortly after opening, where Nancy Lopez and Amy Alcott were champions. During that period, it also served as the LPGA's corporate office and the home of the LPGA Hall of Fame.

Vic Aliprando, senior vice president of TPC Network Operations, stated: “We are excited to welcome this wonderful facility as a licensed property into our portfolio as we further expand our premier TPC brand in Texas. We look forward to working closely with the team to support their goals, enhance the member experience and elevate the club to new heights.”

Steven Orbuch, president and founder of Sculptor Real Estate, commented: “When we acquired Sweetwater Country Club in 2024, we saw the opportunity to elevate one of Houston’s premier clubs to an even higher standard. Our affiliation with the TPC Network is a testament to how exceptional Sweetwater is — both to its members and to the broader golf community.”

Beyond golf, TPC Houston offers tennis and pickleball facilities, a resort-style pool complex, fitness amenities, and dining spaces. Members gain access to the TPC Passport program, providing privileges at clubs like TPC Sawgrass, TPC Scottsdale, and TPC Harding Park. Later this month, on March 24-27, it will host one of five sites for PGA TOUR Americas Q-School.

Juniper Golf Properties, founded in 2024 by Dale Folmar and Jacques James, owns eight courses in the southwest. Encore Leisure Group manages 16 properties across Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and Massachusetts.
