Talca Appeals Court defines shortlist for Maule Regional Prosecutor

The full court of the Talca Court of Appeals formed on Tuesday the shortlist of candidates for the Maule Regional Prosecutor position, which will be sent to National Prosecutor Ángel Valencia.

The full court of the Talca Court of Appeals, led by minister Moisés Muñoz and joined by six other ministers, selected the three candidates with the most support after presentations by nine applicants.

The shortlist consists of Mauricio Jorquera Loyola with four votes, Marcela Moreno Ríos with three votes, and Rodrigo Peña Sepúlveda with three votes. Jorquera works as legal advisor at the Maule Regional Prosecutor's Office, Moreno serves as advisor in the same office, and Peña works as legal advisor at the Metropolitan South Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The list will be sent to Ángel Valencia, who must select the new Regional Prosecutor within the deadlines set by law.
