Tesla has announced that Cybercab employee rides at Giga Texas will begin soon. The company shared the update through its official accounts on July 10. Details remain limited on the scope of the planned rides.
On July 10, Tesla's Robotaxi account posted a video of a gold Cybercab driving itself across the outbound lot at Gigafactory Texas. The main Tesla account followed with the statement that Cybercab employee rides at Giga Texas are starting soon.
The announcement provides no specifics on routes, fleet size, or whether the rides will operate on public roads or private property. It positions the activity at the factory site rather than within Tesla's existing robotaxi service in Austin.
The update comes as Tesla has produced more than 100 Cybercabs. Current supervised robotaxi operations in Austin continue to use Model Y vehicles with safety monitors.
