Three people have been taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a multi-family house in Rättvik. Police have arrested a man suspected of gross arson. The extent of injuries remains unclear.
The fire started early on Sunday morning and was concentrated to one apartment. Rescue services evacuated the entire building and extinguished the blaze. A unit from the rescue service remained on site to secure the area.
Police are investigating the incident as gross arson. The site has been cordoned off for technical examination to determine how the fire started. Ola Olsson, duty officer at the police, said investigative measures including interviews are planned.
Mats Öhman at the police stated the injured had likely inhaled smoke. Jonas Eriksson at the rescue service confirmed the fire was limited to one apartment.
