Flash floods are possible in low-lying areas and near rivers.

The South African Weather Service issued a yellow level two warning for severe thunderstorms expected to hit parts of Gauteng from Friday afternoon, November 7, 2025, until early Saturday morning. In Johannesburg, the Emergency Management Services (EMS) is on high alert, monitoring all seven regions of the city for potential emergencies, including water-related incidents, with specialized units ready to respond.
