In the Third Handball League, TSV Altenholz set another milestone on Thursday evening. In the fifth derby of the season, the Wolves defeated HSG Ostsee 30:25 in the Ostholsteinhalle in Grömitz. The game was tied 13:13 at halftime, but in the second half, the visitors turned it around and secured the win through high concentration.
Coach Torge Greve analyzed: "In the first half, we struggled, but afterward we were highly concentrated." The TSV Altenholz defense, dominated by Rasmus Ankermann, Lars Meereis, and Simon Bergemann, limited the opponents to just 25 goals. Goalkeepers Tom Landgraf and Jasper Basenau made a total of ten saves, with no more than 13 goals conceded in either half. Greve emphasized: "Our defense is our pride and joy."
Offensively, captain Klas Bergemann made the difference with 11 goals, seven from penalties. Despite a red card to Nicolas Kahmke in the 39th minute, the team stayed focused.
