The UNAM Technical Commission for the Review of the 2026 Undergraduate Admission Process announced it will formulate a recommendation between July 28 and August 2 to ensure the process adheres to principles of inclusion and equity.
The 16-member body, chaired by Eduardo Bárzana García, requested evidence from university instances after the temporary suspension of registrations due to irregularities detected in the first online admission exam. Rector Leonardo Lomelí had stated that access would not be allowed to be affected by any type of assistance.
The UNAM denied false statements circulating on social media about a possible repetition of the exam and asked applicants to follow only official information. The commission began working immediately with data provided by the administration.
President Claudia Sheinbaum indicated that the Attorney General's Office could support the investigation if the university requests it and offered alternatives at Rosario Castellanos universities for rejected applicants. Classes remain scheduled for August 10.
