VfL Wolfsburg's women's team, second in the Bundesliga, has qualified for the UEFA Women's Champions League quarterfinals. In the playoff return leg at Juventus Turin, the "Wölfinnen" won 2-0 (1-0). Vivien Endemann scored in the 18th minute on a counterattack, and Cora Zicai netted in stoppage time (90.+6). In the first leg, they had drawn 2-2 in Wolfsburg after trailing 0-2.
Despite illness-related absences of co-captain Alexandra Popp and national team player Lena Lattwein, Wolfsburg started solidly. Juventus began strongly, but Endemann converted the first chance for the lead.
