Woman stabbed in back by stranger at Georgia restaurant

A woman eating lunch at a restaurant in Decatur, Georgia, was stabbed in the back by a stranger on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities have arrested 22-year-old Walter Scrutchings and charged him with aggravated assault. The victim’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. at the First Watch restaurant on Blackmon Drive. According to DeKalb County Police, Scrutchings approached the woman without warning and stabbed her before she could react. She managed to reach a nearby business for help and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
