Xbox November update introduces Gaming Copilot and cloud expansions

Microsoft has deployed its November Xbox update, featuring the beta launch of Gaming Copilot on the mobile app for real-time gaming assistance. The update also broadens the Full Screen Experience to more Windows 11 devices and extends cloud gaming to new regions like India. Additional enhancements include controller customizations and expanded game access options.

The November Xbox update focuses on improving user experience across mobile, PC, and cloud platforms. It introduces Gaming Copilot in beta via the Xbox mobile app, where players can access a dedicated tab for voice or text interactions. This assistant offers gameplay tips, achievement tracking, and in-game guidance tailored to individual sessions.

Full Screen Experience Expansion

Originally available on devices like the ROG Xbox Ally, the Full Screen Experience now reaches more Windows 11 hardware, including desktops, laptops, and tablets. Windows Insiders can test this console-style interface, which supports controller navigation for a streamlined, distraction-free setup. Users pair a controller to enable smoother task switching during play.

Cloud Gaming Enhancements

Xbox Cloud Gaming now allows resolution selection up to 1440p for supported titles, letting players adjust based on device and network. The service has launched in India as its 29th market, enabling streaming on consoles, PCs, mobiles, and TVs. In Brazil and Argentina, support extends to LG TVs and Amazon Fire TV devices, with further Fire TV compatibility planned for 2025 models like the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus.

Customization and Accessories

From November 28 to December 12, Xbox Design Lab provides free engraving on controllers, allowing personalization with names or designs. New hardware includes the Backbone Pro – Xbox Edition controller for multi-device use via USB-C or Bluetooth, and limited-edition SpongeBob Movie controllers in Wireless and Elite Series 2 variants, customizable through Design Lab.

Game Access Improvements

Xbox Play Anywhere now covers over 1,000 titles, with recent additions like Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, ARC Raiders, and Little Nightmares III. Stream Your Own Game supports over 1,000 owned titles for Game Pass members, including SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide and Train Sim World 6. Retro Classics via Antstream Arcade adds legacy games such as Blackthorne and Rock N Roll Racing. Over 130 cloud titles support mouse and keyboard, while more than 230 offer touch controls on mobile.
