Yuni Shara prepares legal action over affair allegations

Senior singer Yuni Shara has decided to no longer remain silent about affair rumors with Irwan Mussry, husband of Maia Estianty, which have resurfaced on social media. She labels the allegations a hoax that tarnishes her reputation and plans to pursue legal action. The issue first emerged in 2023 related to social activities in Malang.

Jakarta – Senior singer Yuni Shara has finally spoken out after affair rumors with Irwan Mussry, husband of Maia Estianty, resurfaced on social media. As a public figure with a long career in the entertainment industry, Yuni views these allegations as more than ordinary gossip, but a hoax damaging her personal and professional reputation.

She has appointed Minola Sebayang as her legal representative to investigate those behind the spread of misleading information. The situation has solidified her resolve to take legal steps to stop the dissemination of what she deems deceptive content.

This issue is not new. In 2023, the gossip gained traction after Yuni and Irwan were in Malang, East Java. However, Irwan was there as a donor for Yuni's PAUD school in Batu, East Java, and arrived with Maia Estianty. His involvement in these social activities has been ongoing and publicly known.

Maia Estianty previously clarified the rumors on YouTube Her Mind. "I don't know why when we went to Malang to see the PAUD that was built in Batu, someone gossiped that it was an affair," she said on December 19, 2025. She emphasized her husband's support was purely social. "Yes, it happened to be that for several years, Uncle Irwan has been supporting Tante Yuni's PAUD," Maia added.

Maia also described their closeness as mere friendship. "If close, yes close, close as friends. We often eat together," she stated. "But, 'what is this?' I said it's the slander of the end times."

Yuni Shara, who had chosen silence until now, is determined to halt the spread of the hoax to protect her reputation.
