Rode has released a firmware update enabling its Wireless Pro and Wireless Go (third-gen) microphones to connect directly to iPhones and iPads via Bluetooth. This Direct Connect feature eliminates the need for a physical receiver, requiring only the Rode Capture app. The update maintains the systems' broadcast-quality audio while supporting dual-transmitter recording options.
