Seven people have died and 11 others seriously injured in a head-on collision between a public service vehicle (PSV) and a trailer on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway in the Miasenyi area near Voi, Taita Taveta County, on Sunday morning. The accident occurred around 11 a.m. as the PSV traveling from Wote to Mombasa attempted to overtake another vehicle. The injured were rushed to Moi County Referral Hospital in Voi for treatment.
