Linux 6.19 boosts legacy AMD GPUs by up to 30 percent

The upcoming Linux kernel 6.19 delivers significant performance improvements for older AMD graphics cards based on GCN 1.0 and GCN 1.1 architectures. These legacy GPUs, such as the Radeon HD 7950, now transition to the modern AMDGPU driver, replacing the obsolete Radeon driver after over two decades.
