4 Non Blondes, best known for their 1993 hit 'What's Up?', revealed plans for their long-awaited second studio album on December 10, 2025. The band, led by frontwoman and songwriter Linda Perry, inked a deal with indie label Kill Rock Stars through Perry's new imprint, 670 Records. This partnership will also release Perry's solo project, Let It Die Here, which shares its title with her upcoming documentary. Both albums are slated for 2026, though exact dates remain unspecified.
Reunion and Creative Process
The announcement follows a reunion earlier in 2025, marking the band's first live shows in over a decade. Perry described the spark in a statement: 'Playing some songs with 4 Non Blondes just seemed like a fun thing to do, in a way it hadn’t before now. I’ve been behind the scenes for far too long. I want to step out to be the artist I am.' She explained that rehearsals led to new material: 'I wrote a bunch of new songs, revisited some old ones, and bam, we have an album. It’s really that simple.'
The current lineup includes Perry, longtime bassist Christa Hillhouse, and original touring members drummer Dawn Richardson and guitarist Roger Rocha. Notably absent are original drummer Wanda Day, who was fired in 1991 and later died of a drug overdose, and guitarist Shaunna Hall, who left during the recording of their debut and later joined Parliament-Funkadelic.

Kill Rock Stars, known for reissuing Perry's 1996 solo album In Flight, praised the collaboration: 'Perry’s fearless creativity, her commitment to amplifying authentic voices, and her instinct for nurturing artists reflect exactly what KRS believes in.'
