Arsenal agree fee with Club Brugge for Tzolis

Arsenal have agreed a fee with Club Brugge for Greece international Christos Tzolis. The deal is reported to be worth around £34 million. This move follows the sale of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas earlier this week.

The Gunners have held a lengthy interest in the 24-year-old winger. Club Brugge accepted the offer, which leaves three years on Tzolis's contract.

Personal terms are not expected to pose issues. The signing would make Tzolis Arsenal's third of the summer after making Piero Hincapie's loan permanent and signing goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

Tzolis previously played in England during a season at Norwich in 2021/22. He recorded 22 goals and 29 assists in 52 appearances for Club Brugge last season.

Arsenal won the Premier League title last season but lost the Champions League final to Paris Saint-Germain. They are scheduled to face Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 16.
