Mexico City's Citizen Security Secretariat detained 14 people, including nine adults and five minors, during the first BTS concert at Estadio GNP Seguros on May 7, 2026.
Authorities said the detainees were caught allegedly reselling tickets for the K-pop group's event. The concert marked BTS's return to Mexico after nine years, with additional shows scheduled for May 9 and 10.
Before the show, group members visited President Claudia Sheinbaum at the National Palace on May 6. RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook greeted thousands of fans at the Zocalo.
During the performance, BTS played tracks including 'Boy in Luv' and 'So What'. The members promised to include Mexico in future tours and expressed joy at reuniting with the Mexican ARMY.
