The Permanent Commission of the General Council of the Judiciary agreed on Tuesday to send two investigations against judge Juan Carlos Peinado to the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid for possible minor faults of lack of consideration and unjustified delay. It archived four other complaints, including that of minister Félix Bolaños.
The judiciary's governing body referred to the TSJM the complaint over Peinado's expressions in a precautionary measures order suggesting that security forces could assist in a flight by Begoña Gómez. It also sent the case of a delay in another proceeding from June 2024 to January 2026.
The Permanent Commission archived the complaint filed by Justice Minister Félix Bolaños regarding the treatment during his testimony as a witness at La Moncloa. It considered the issues accessory and lacking disciplinary relevance.
Vocal Carlos Hugo Preciado, proposed by Sumar, voted with the conservative bloc on several archives. He issued particular votes noting indications of crimes of disclosure of reserved data and prevarication that should be investigated criminally.
President Isabel Perelló broke the tie with her casting vote in favor of referring the two cases to the TSJM. Peinado retires on September 27.
