The CIAA highlighted players based on their statistical outputs in recent contests. One player contributed 12 points, six rebounds, and one block in a 63-44 win over Johnson C. Smith on February 2, followed by 11 points and four rebounds in a 66-44 victory at Shaw on February 4, and 23 points, four rebounds, and two blocks in a 61-45 win versus Shaw on February 7.
Another selection recorded six points, five rebounds, and one block in the 63-44 win against Johnson C. Smith on February 2; six points, eight rebounds, and three blocks in the 66-44 win at Shaw on February 4; and six points, eight rebounds, and four blocks in the 61-45 win over Shaw on February 7.
A third player posted 19 points, six rebounds, two blocks, and one steal in a 71-54 loss to Bowie State on February 5, along with five points, three rebounds, one block, and one steal in a 72-59 defeat against Virginia Union on February 7.
Additional honors went to a player with 27 points and six rebounds in an 84-66 win over Livingstone on February 4, and 27 points, four assists, and two steals in a 77-69 victory at Livingstone on February 7.
Further performances included 15 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks in a 79-72 win versus Johnson C. Smith on February 2; 19 points and 12 rebounds in an 80-79 win at Shaw on February 4; and eight points and 11 rebounds in an 81-79 loss to Shaw on February 7.
One more player tallied 13 points, four rebounds, and three steals in a 72-62 loss at Elizabeth City State on February 5, plus 17 points, six rebounds, and two three-pointers in a 75-73 defeat at Bluefield State on February 7.
