Delfina Gómez installs permanent peace table in Mexico State

Governor of Mexico State, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, installed the permanent Peace Table and announced reinforced surveillance in border areas with Guerrero and Michoacán. Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez announced the installation of the permanent Peace Table in Mexico State, a measure aimed at coordinating security efforts. According to the state Security Secretariat, surveillance has been intensified in border areas with the states of Guerrero and Michoacán, in response to the death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

Members of the armed forces, including soldiers, marines, and the National Guard, have been deployed across the entire Mexiquense territory. The state leader highlighted that federal, state, and municipal forces are conducting strategic operations. Additionally, patrols have been increased, supervision points have been set up, and surveillance activities have been strengthened to maintain public order and protect the population.

Mexico State has an estimated population of 19 million people, underscoring the importance of these actions to preserve stability. Gómez Álvarez emphasized the commitment to collective security in this context of changes in the organized crime landscape.
