HGTV star Drew Scott worked as a body double on the Superman series Smallville before gaining fame on Property Brothers. He stood in for Tom Welling during scenes showing the actor's torso and lower body.
Scott shared the details in an interview with People. He explained that he filled in for specific shots on the long-running CW series.
"I was the body double for Tom Welling," Scott said. "So when they're doing like butt shots and ab shots, I was the one they were using."
The actor joined the production through a friend who served as a stand-in for another character. He described the work as a minor side job that lasted only briefly.
Scott also noted meeting Justin Hartley during his time on the show. Hartley later appeared as a guest on the Property Brothers spin-off Celebrity IOU.
