The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission will bring 12 individuals to court from December 1 to 5, 2025, over allegations of misusing more than KSh 1.6 billion in public funds. Cases span fraud, illegal tenders, land grabbing, and bribery across multiple counties. Hearings are set in Nairobi and other locations, aiming to recover lost assets.
Starting December 1, 2025, the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court in Nairobi will handle several high-profile graft cases filed by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC). A press release from November 30, 2025, details proceedings against Estama Investments Limited and 13 others for recovering KSh 800 million paid for overpriced portable medical clinics.
The same court will also address an irregular KSh 2 billion refinancing deal at Kenya Pipeline Company involving Dr. Shem Odongo Ochuodho and two others, which allegedly caused KSh 286 million in losses; this runs December 1 to 2. On December 2, Hartland Enterprises Ltd faces charges over irregular payments of KSh 36.2 million.
Further hearings include Geotech Contractors and six others on December 3 for forging documents to win a KSh 22.3 million water project tender in Kilifi. The National Museum of Kenya seeks to recover KSh 441.3 million lost to ghost salaries involving Mzalendo Kibunjia, scheduled for December 4.
Outside Nairobi, cases involve former Vihiga Finance Chief Wilberforce Ndula and eight others for conspiring to obtain KSh 7.6 million through undelivered services, set for December 3 in Vihiga County. In Garissa, Khadija Abdullahi Bare, a former protocol officer, is accused of forging a degree certificate to secure employment and receive KSh 6.8 million, with a hearing on December 1.
Land-related suits include Rubis Energy Kenya PLC and eight others for illegally transferring public land from Kenya Railways, registered as LR No. 209/9641, on December 1 at Milimani Environmental and Land Court. Jennifer Koinante will appear in Nanyuki on December 4 to address the recovery of public parcel Nanyuki Municipality Block 8/862.
Other matters: Robert Meme Inyingi faces bribery charges of KSh 20,000 in Machakos on December 4; Kirinyaga's former Chief Officer Edwin Gichobi for a conflict-of-interest tender on December 2 in Kerugoya; and Richard Muthoka and five others for irregular procurement of health machines in Kitui on December 5.
These cases highlight ongoing efforts to combat corruption in public institutions across Kenya.
