Emerenciano Sena, sentenced to life imprisonment as a primary participant in the femicide of Cecilia Strzyzowski, broke his silence from a Chaco prison and declared his innocence.
Emerenciano Sena spoke from Pavilion 5 of the Complejo Penitenciario I in Resistencia in an interview with the magazine Litigio conducted by journalist Bruno Martínez. He stated that he was convicted without evidence and questioned the jury trial, which he described as a process driven by social exhaustion.
Sena defended his son César Sena, sentenced as the author of the crime, and said he never heard his son admit to the act. He also claimed that if he had known of his responsibility, he would have turned him over to the police.
Gloria Romero, mother of Cecilia Strzyzowski, responded on social media rejecting the statements. She wrote that Sena is convicted because they planned to kill her daughter and criticized him for presenting himself as a victim.
