Swedish national team defender Emil Holm, 25, has joined Juventus on loan from Bologna until the summer, with a buy option in the deal. The club officially welcomes him, and Holm expresses pride in the move. The transfer was confirmed after rumors and a medical check in Turin.
Emil Holm will become the Italian giant Juventus's fourth Serie A club in his career. The 25-year-old full-back, who previously played for Spezia, Atalanta, and Bologna, joins on loan from Bologna until the summer of 2026, with the option for Juventus to buy him permanently.
The deal became official on February 2, 2026, after transfer expert Fabrizio Romano hinted at it the day before with an X video showing Holm arriving in Turin for his medical. Juventus confirmed the news with a statement: “Welcome to Juventus.” Holm himself posted on social media: “From dream to reality. I am so proud to sign for Juventus.”
This season, Holm has made 19 appearances for Bologna, scoring one goal and providing five assists. Overall, he has played 74 Serie A matches, with four goals and ten assists. For the Swedish national team, he has 16 caps and two goals. Before Italy, Holm played for IFK Göteborg and Sønderjyske.
The move bolsters Juventus's full-back options and gives Holm the opportunity to step up to a bigger stage in Turin.
