Felipe Victoria presents two-year balance at Inderhuila

Felipe Victoria, director of Inderhuila, presented a positive balance of his two-year management, highlighting advances in sports coverage, infrastructure, and social impact across Huila's 37 municipalities. He claimed to have reached over 50,000 Huilenses and strengthened the institute's regional positioning. The presentation emphasizes achievements in peace processes, athletic performance, and major events.

Felipe Victoria, director of the Huila Sports Institute (Inderhuila), outlined the results of his two-year tenure in a recent interview. Working alongside Governor Rodrigo Villalba Mosquera, he stressed fulfilling the goals of the “Por un Huila Grande” Development Plan through planning and administrative efficiency.

Key achievements include full territorial coverage, reaching over 50,000 Huilenses with social programs, including rural areas to bridge urban-rural gaps. For peace processes, the Escuelas Deportivas para la Paz program, led with social manager Ángela Parra, benefited 2,400 children and youth in priority zones, providing training, psychosocial support, and sports equipment.

In athletic performance, Inderhuila secured 60 medals at the National Intercollegiate Games, ranking 12th nationwide—the best in five years—and two medals at the South American School Games in Paraguay. The number of athletes at the High-Performance Center rose from 161 to 427, with incentives exceeding 600 million pesos for medalists.

Infrastructure investment topped 33 billion pesos, including recovery of the Guillermo Plazas Alcid stadium in Neiva and phase two of the Orlando Losada Buendía in Garzón. Deliveries comprised 28 covers in 25 municipalities, 35 playgrounds, five sports villas, and the department's first boccia court for athletes with disabilities.

Huila hosted national events like the Gran Fondo Harold Tejada, involving 350 million pesos in investment and over 2.3 billion in economic impact. Victoria credited success to the governor's support and coordination with public and private entities.
