The defense of Felipe Vorcaro, cousin of former banker Daniel Vorcaro, presented the STF with a technical report contesting his identification in images used to order preventive detention in Operation Compliance Zero.
The report, prepared by a private expert, concludes that the individuals in the images from the Terravista condominium in Trancoso (BA) are Felipe's father-in-law, Kelson de Oliveira, and another guest, Eduardo Philippe Dantas Cunha Melo. The escape had been one of the arguments used by the Federal Police to request the arrest from Minister André Mendonça.
The defense states that Felipe Cançado Vorcaro was not in the golf cart and did not receive privileged information about the operation carried out in January. The report follows the parameters of the FISWG/E3149 protocol and contradicts the facial identification hypothesis.
The case is linked to the Federal Police investigation into Banco Master, owned by Edir Macedo. The government leader in the Senate, Jaques Wagner, may leave his post after being targeted by a PF operation for possible involvement in the scandal.
