Former WWE star Heidenreich explains departure from industry

Former WWE wrestler Heidenreich discussed his exit from professional wrestling during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet. He cited bad experiences and organizational challenges as key factors.

Heidenreich competed in WWE from 2003 to 2006 and made occasional independent appearances afterward. After the pandemic, he stopped accepting wrestling-related bookings such as conventions.

"I had some bad experiences where things didn't work out," Heidenreich said. "I had some bad deals. I'm not the greatest when it comes to like, talking on the phone and being organized with papers... I do the work. You tell me what to do, I go out there and do it."

He stated that he does not believe he could wrestle again due to physical wear but expressed interest in a possible run-in or managerial role. Heidenreich reported ongoing health concerns including degenerative arthritis and a need for left knee replacement, though he noted improvements in blood pressure and weight.
