The crashes were reported in Nakuru, North Rift, Makueni, Taita-Taveta, and Homa Bay counties.

On Friday night, a trailer heading to Nairobi crashed into three people on a boda boda in the Mbaruk area, about 15-20 minutes from Nakuru's CBD. Two died at the scene, and one was rushed to St Joseph Mission Hospital with serious injuries. Traffic backed up for nearly two hours on the stretch.

In Makueni County, a 14-seater matatu hired in Nairobi for a wedding in Kyuu lost control in the Kikiini area en route to Machakos due to a detached front wheel and brake failure, rolling over. One person died and 18 were injured. Mbooni West Police Commander Benson Makumbi confirmed the incident, noting another crash at the same spot three days prior.
