Heritage day draws high turnout across Chile

The 27th edition of Heritage Day concluded with thousands of visitors to monuments and more than 4,000 free activities nationwide over the weekend.

Minister of Cultures Francisco Undurraga highlighted participation from 100% of the country's communes. Preliminary figures show the Museum of Fine Arts received 30% more visits than in 2025.

The “Motores con Historia” exhibit in front of La Moneda displayed more than 50 vintage vehicles, including Padre Alberto Hurtado’s Ford truck. Biminister Louis de Grange visited the display on Sunday, May 31.

The Central Bank received about 2,000 visitors and the Government Palace more than 2,600. Santiago hosted over 70 activities, while more than 1,000 people visited Palacio Falabella in Providencia on Saturday.
