However, Hisar captain Ashu Malik responded with a crucial do-or-die raid that earned two points, helping the team level the score at 5-5 by the first strategic timeout.
In the second quarter, momentum shifted as defender Surjeet Narwal led a solid unit, resulting in an all-out on Sonipat. Hisar capitalized further, forcing another all-out to extend their lead to 22-8 before halftime, which ended at 23-9. After the break, Sonipat tried to rally by containing Malik, and raider Ayan Lohchab notched some successful raids in the final quarter. Yet, Hisar's defense, anchored by Sahil Narwal and Sourav Nandal, remained resolute, preventing any real threat and controlling the game until the end.
