Businessman Insanul Fahmi has admitted to a sirri marriage with Inara Rusli in August 2025 without the knowledge of his legal wife, Wardatina Mawa. He lied to Inara claiming he was divorced, though he asserts he received polygamy permission from Mawa in 2023. The case escalated after Mawa reported them for alleged adultery on November 22, 2025.
In a YouTube podcast with Richard Lee on November 27, 2025, businessman Insanul Fahmi addressed the controversy in his marriage. He revealed their initial meeting with Inara Rusli as business partners evolved into a romantic relationship. To avoid media scandal, Insanul urged Inara for a quick marriage while lying that he had divorced Mawa with two talaks. "I told her, I've started the divorce process. I've given talak twice. I said I've given talak twice and it's impossible to continue," he stated.
Inara initially wanted to end things upon learning Insanul was still married, but he convinced her by citing their suitability for polygamy. He claimed Mawa permitted it in 2023 and believed both could "become one team". "So, let's just go with it; both have potential, both have something we can develop together as one team," he said.
The conflict peaked with CCTV footage from Inara's home on August 8, 2025, post-sirri marriage, showing intimate closeness. Insanul is puzzled by the leaker; Mawa's brother sent it with a threat. Mawa filed a report with Polda Metro Jaya on November 22, 2025, using the two-hour footage as evidence of adultery.
Virgoun, Inara's ex-husband, reacted strongly after viewing the recording: "Hopefully you've done sirri marriage, because I have proof of you having relations on the third floor. I'll take the kids out until this storm passes." Richard Lee, Inara's friend, condemned Insanul as a coward for hurting two women. "I see you as a coward... You want both, you don't want to let go of either," he said firmly. Insanul cried, admitted his fault, and promised to fix it by introducing both wives for the sake of their child.
