Downton Abbey star Joanne Froggatt has joined the cast of MGM+ series The Magnificent Seven. She will portray Harriet Talbot, a widow who recruits mercenaries to defend her village.
The series adapts the 1960 film and follows seven mercenaries hired to protect a Quaker village from attack. Tim Kring serves as writer and executive producer. Matt Dillon stars as leader Chris Adams. Will Patton and Michael Ealy also appear in the cast. Froggatt is known for her Emmy-nominated role on Downton Abbey. She currently stars in the Paramount+ series MobLand. Additional cast members include Amy Forsyth as Katie Deadeye Dalton and Danny Pino as Santiago Santi Vega.
