Cesena coach Marco De Marchi told Bild that the healing process will be lengthy. On Instagram, Klinsmann wrote: 'Unfortunately, my season ended on Saturday. During the match, I suffered a fracture in my spine, which will keep me out for a while.' Unlike his father Jürgen, who starred as a forward for Germany, Jonathan plays goalkeeper for the United States. He has featured on the bench for the US senior team and was eyed for the 2026 World Cup hosted in the US.
