La SER reaffirms leadership with best audience figure in 12 years

Cadena SER solidifies its position as Spain's leading radio network with 4.892 million listeners in the third wave of the 2025 EGM, its best figure in 12 years. Shows like 'Hoy por Hoy' and 'La ventana' set historical records, while 'Hora 25' achieves its top rating under Aimar Bretos.

The third wave of the 2025 General Media Study (EGM) confirms Cadena SER's dominance in Spanish radio, reaching 4.892 million listeners, the best outcome in over a decade. This total outpaces Cadena COPE's 3.545 million listeners, down 250,000 from the previous summer, and Onda Cero's 2.283 million, up by 30,000.

Within SER's schedule, 'Hoy por Hoy' tops mornings with 3.405 million listeners, a historical record that leaves 'Herrera en COPE' nearly 900,000 behind. In the afternoons, 'La ventana' draws 1.170 million listeners, matching the combined figures of COPE's 'La tarde' and Onda Cero's 'Por fin'. At night, 'Hora 25' totals 1.137 million listeners, its highest under Aimar Bretos, ahead of COPE's 'La linterna' (883,000) and Onda Cero's 'La brújula' (539,000).

Regionally, RAC1 in Catalonia hits its all-time high with 1.064 million local listeners and 1.078 million nationwide, ranking as the fourth generalist network. Radio Nacional de España (RNE) places fifth with 945,000 listeners, down 30,000 following a September programming overhaul.

In music stations, Los 40 holds the lead with 2.854 million listeners, followed by Cadena 100 (1.849 million) and Cadena Dial (1.472 million). These figures underscore SER's strength in a competitive radio landscape.
