Lando Norris predicts Ferrari on pole at Monaco Grand Prix

Lando Norris expects Ferrari to secure pole position at the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix. The McLaren driver cited the team's strength in low-speed corners as a key advantage on the street circuit. His team principal Andrea Stella agreed with the assessment.

Norris made the comments after the Canadian Grand Prix. He said Ferrari's performance in low-speed sections gives it an edge for the Monte Carlo track. 'Honestly, I think that Ferrari will be on pole next weekend in Monaco,' Norris said. 'Their low-speed performance is far better than everyone else.' Stella supported the view, noting that Ferrari's chassis excels in corners with kerbing, a feature rewarded at Monaco. He added that the team's straight-line deficit would matter less on the circuit without long straights. Stella also said McLaren can be competitive, aiming to repeat Norris's win from the previous year. He noted the car's suitability for low-speed corners while acknowledging some medium and high-speed sections remain relevant.

Lando Norris put a difficult Canadian Grand Prix behind him by meeting former teammate Daniel Ricciardo and Conor Daly after the Indianapolis 500. McLaren started both its drivers on intermediate tyres at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, a decision that proved costly when rain failed to materialise.
