Reports indicate Carrick is willing to serve as Solskjaer's assistant if he does not secure the interim role himself.
Negotiations for Solskjaer's potential contract are underway, with a possible agreement as early as this Friday. Unlike his previous deal worth around £7.2 million per year, Solskjaer is reportedly prepared to accept a reduced salary of £50,000 to £60,000 per week. However, a key incentive remains: a bonus of £3 million to £4 million should United qualify for the Champions League.
