On Sunday demonstrators gathered at Stora Torget in Karlstad to demand answers from Länsstyrelsen Värmland on responsibility for Riksväg 62.
The demonstrators wanted to know who bears responsibility if the road collapses and when it can be secured. Trafikverket has long warned of the collapse risk in northern Värmland. Measures have been blocked by EU environmental rules protecting the area. Concern is growing among those who use the road daily. The manifestation targeted the county administrative board directly to obtain clear answers on future measures.
