On January 22, 2026, Mazda North American Operations announced a three-year sponsorship with professional golfer Miyu Yamashita, one of women's golf's fastest-rising talents. The partnership, effective from January 1, 2026, reflects Mazda's purpose to "enrich life in motion for those we serve" by backing athletes who embody focus and innovation.
Yamashita, born on August 2, 2001, in Osaka, Japan, started playing golf at age five. She turned professional in 2020 and has since secured 15 victories, including 13 on the LPGA of Japan (JLPGA) Tour and two LPGA Tour titles. Renowned for her consistency, precise ball striking, and composure under pressure, she is a fan favorite in Japan and is transitioning to full-time LPGA competition in the U.S.

Under the deal, Mazda will provide local transportation support for Yamashita's worldwide tournaments to optimize her performance conditions. The company's logo will appear on the left sleeve of her tournament jersey, and Mazda vehicles will be available at events in North America and Asia.
