Winter road conditions have caused multiple traffic accidents in Skåne on Friday, from afternoon to evening. A woman was taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash outside Svedala, while other incidents reported no serious injuries.
On Friday, difficult road conditions prevailed in large parts of Skåne due to winter weather, leading to several traffic accidents. The first incident linked to the slippery roads occurred near Svedala in the afternoon, followed by more in the evening.
Around 5 p.m., a woman flipped her car in Assartorp north of Svedala. She complained of neck pain and was taken to hospital. “It’s very slippery on the road there. We’ve just arrived with the full team and are waiting for the ambulance,” said Evelina Svensson, alarm and control operator at the rescue service. The road, near Assartorp golf course, was initially closed but reopened by 6 p.m.
Shortly after 7 p.m., a car slid off the road near Bjuv and hit a tree. One person reported neck pain.
At 8:45 p.m., a car spun on the E65 outside Svedala and collided with the median barrier. No injuries were reported, but an ambulance was called. “It’s a car that spun there and hit the median. But I can’t see any reports of personal injuries,” said Tobias Böttern, alarm and control operator. The accident affected eastbound traffic toward Ystad, with one lane closed, but traffic normalized by 9:20 p.m. according to Trafikverket.
Shortly after 10 p.m., a car crashed into the median at the Kronetorp interchange outside Malmö. Two people were in the vehicle, one with neck pain, and an ambulance was dispatched. “We believe it’s due to the road conditions,” commented Lotta Åberg from Räddningstjänsten Syd.
Around 11 p.m., a single-vehicle accident occurred at Valdemarsro in Malmö, with no injuries but requiring towing. “It’s tough road conditions in large parts of Skåne,” summarized Lotta Åberg at 11:30 p.m., adding that it was slippery in many places.
