New Balance will release its 1890A hybrid shoe on July 3. The model combines a traditional moccasin upper with a sneaker sole.
The New Balance 1890A features a butter yellow design with curving yellow snakeskin panels. It pairs a Clarks Wallabee-style moccasin with the techy sole from the New Balance 1890 runner.
This follows the 1906L hybrid that appeared on Junya Watanabe’s runway in 2024. Leaked photos and a Comme des Garçons Homme collaboration preceded the launch.
The shoes retail for $199.99. Similar hybrid models have already appeared from Moncler, adidas and Mizuno.
