New Balance launches versatile Fresh Foam Hierro sandal

New Balance has introduced the Fresh Foam Hierro sandal, also known as the HIESV1. The lace-free model combines elements of a trail sneaker, mule and sandal.

The shoe features New Balance's chunky soles paired with Vibram grip for outdoor use. Users can remove the backstrap to create a slip-on style or keep it for a more secure sandal fit. The design draws from an earlier Tokyo Design Studio Niobium Concept sandal. It includes mesh and suede uppers along with buckled straps. The Fresh Foam Hierro sandal is now available on New Balance Japan's website. It comes in black and the grey Raincloud colorway for around $118.
