Nigerian Breweries Plc reported group revenue of N1.04 trillion for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, marking a 48 percent increase from the previous year. The company achieved this growth amid high inflation and rising costs. Officials highlighted strong performance in premium products and cost efficiencies as key drivers.
Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc announced unaudited results showing group revenue of N1.04 trillion for the period from January to September 30, 2025. This figure represents a 48 percent rise compared to N703 billion in the same period of 2024.
Costs also increased during this time. The cost of sales climbed from N495 billion in 2024 to N627 billion in 2025. Meanwhile, marketing, distribution, and administration expenses grew by 38 percent, from N184 billion to N254 billion, due to heightened brand and sales efforts.
Uaboi Agbebaku, the company's Company Secretary and Legal Director, noted the challenges faced. "The company was still able to deliver strong growth in the topline and in the operations during the period under review, despite a high double-digit inflation rate, which continues to constrain consumer spending and high input costs," he said.
NB consolidated its market leadership through premiumisation, greater competitiveness, and improved route-to-market strategies. The group's revenue expanded by 47 percent, bolstered by strategic pricing and robust sales in the premium portfolio. Operating profit saw significant gains from cost management and supply chain improvements, while net profit surged 157 percent, aided by lower net finance costs.
Agbebaku attributed much of the profitability turnaround to the 2024 rights issue programme. "The rights issue programme of 2024 has contributed in no small measure to the positive turnaround in the profitability of the Group compared to a year ago," he stated.
