Noel Gallagher expressed surprise after the England national team sang Oasis' 'Wonderwall' following their World Cup victory last week. The moment occurred after a 4-2 win over Croatia in Dallas on June 17.
Gallagher spoke about the event during a talkSPORT interview on June 25. He said he thought it was a great moment and could not believe what he was seeing.
"I'm staggered that Jude Bellingham knows the lyrics," Gallagher added. He also threw support behind the track becoming an anthem for the team.
England players including Jude Bellingham and Anthony Gordon were seen mouthing the lyrics as fans sang. Captain Harry Kane described it as one of his favourite moments in an England shirt.
The song saw a 50 per cent spike in UK Spotify streams ahead of England's next match against Panama on June 27.
