Patriot league announces indoor track and field weekly honors

Navy sophomore Brian Schloeder took Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors for clearing 5.20m in the pole vault at the Wesley Brown Invitational, the league-leading height and tied for 35th nationally in NCAA Division I. This mark ties the 10th-highest in Navy history.

Boston University senior Ellie Roan secured her third Women's Field Athlete of the Week award by winning the weight throw at 19.50m—first in the league and 37th in NCAA Division I—and placing second in the shot put at the Beantown Challenge. Her shot put performance ranks second in the league and third in school history.

Navy freshman Jason Keiser repeated as Men's Rookie of the Week, winning the 60m hurdles in 8.05 seconds at the Wesley Brown Invitational, the fastest in the Patriot League. Army West Point freshman Sabrina Sardar was named Women's Rookie of the Week for her 800m time of 2:10.09 at the Quaker Invitational, leading the league and ranking 43rd in NCAA Division I.

Honorable mentions included Army West Point's Bret Wingard (triple jump, 15.14m), Boston University's Thomas Lamkin (60m, 6.82s), Holy Cross's Jake Baker (weight throw, 17.37m), Liam Lyons (1,000m, 2:19.31), and Bridget Sachs (pole vault, 3.85m), as well as Navy's Sophie Compton (mile, 4:49.61) and Patrick Gandini (mile, 4:04.60).

These honors precede the Patriot League Indoor Championships, set for February 28 to March 1, 2026, at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center, featuring all nine men's and 10 women's teams.
