PSSI partners with KNVB to train young talents in Papua

PSSI collaborated with KNVB and PT Freeport Indonesia to conduct football training for coaches and young players in Papua. The program took place at Mimika Sport Complex from 28 to 30 May 2026.

The training involved participants from Papua Football Academy, Yayasan Pendidikan Jayawijaya Kuala Kencana, and Sekolah Asrama Taruna Papua. They studied the Dutch football curriculum that emphasizes tactics and participation.

PSSI Vice Chairman Ratu Tisha said participants showed enthusiasm and adapted quickly. She noted the sessions continued despite rainy weather.

The collaboration aims to enrich youth development methods in Indonesia with a proven successful approach.
