Defending champions Pyramids FC secured a 1-0 away victory against Power Dynamos in Match Day 2 of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League group stage. Mohamed Reda Bobo scored the decisive goal in the 51st minute, keeping Pyramids level on six points at the top of Group A with RS Berkane. In another Group D match, Esperance de Tunis salvaged a 1-1 draw against Petro de Luanda.
Pyramids FC extended their perfect start in the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Power Dynamos at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Zambia, on November 30, 2025. The Egyptian side, who opened the group stage with a 3-0 home victory over Rivers United, now sit joint-top of Group A alongside Morocco's RS Berkane, both on six points. Power Dynamos remain pointless after back-to-back defeats.
The match remained goalless at halftime despite Pyramids dominating possession. Fiston Mayele and Walid El Karti missed early chances for the visitors, while Power Dynamos' Daniel Adoko tested Pyramids goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shenawy with a powerful 24th-minute shot, which was tipped over for a corner. El-Shenawy suffered an injury just before the break and was replaced by Mahmoud Gad.
Six minutes into the second half, Mohamed 'Bobo' Reda broke the deadlock after receiving a pass from Mayele that deflected off the defense, allowing him to blast the ball into the net. Reda nearly doubled the lead four minutes later with a strike from outside the box that narrowly missed the post. Mahmoud Zalaka also came close for Pyramids, but his shot from inside the area was blocked.
Power Dynamos pushed late, with substitute Kapembwa Musonda firing over the bar in the final minute, but Pyramids held firm for the three points. Coach Krunoslav Jurčić's side was without key players including Osama Galal, Mostafa Fathi, and Ramadan Sobhi due to injuries and a doping ban.
In Group D, Esperance de Tunis came from behind to draw 1-1 with Petro de Luanda in Angola. Tiago Reis scored for the hosts in the 49th minute, but Aboubacar Diakité equalized in the 89th minute at Estadio 11 de Novembro. Petro lead the group with four points, while Esperance have two.
