These performances, part of the band's ongoing European tour, shift to December 15 and 16 to allow recovery time. The group plans to continue with their Thursday, December 5, and Friday, December 6, shows at the same location without interruption.
Official Statement
In a message shared on Instagram, Radiohead expressed regret over the decision. 'We are devastated to have to postpone these two shows at such short notice but Thom has been diagnosed with an extreme throat infection which has made it impossible for him to sing,' the band stated. They added, 'We have been so blown away by the audience reactions on these dates and are loving being back on stage again; needless to say, we feel terrible that we have been forced to postpone these shows.'
Tour Context
This tour marks Radiohead's first series of live performances since 2018, which began last month. The band has stayed active recently, releasing their second official live album, Hail to the Thief (Live Recordings 2003-2009), in August. That month also saw an album track from their 1997 release OK Computer, 'Let Down,' reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the fourth time in the band's history.
